The story is very beautiful and intuitive showing a realistic yakuza world that is violent but also hilarious. When I read the manga, I’m overwhelmed by the two main characters, Yashiro and Doumeki. Their distinct personality makes the story interesting and simulates reflection. As they are pursuing a equally intimate relationship while struggling with their own conflicted nature, there are a lot of scenes that make me so emotional, and I think that Yoneda sensei did a really good job in portraying the characters and delivering the messages. Even though Yashiro and Doumeki both suffered a lot from their families, I can still feel that they have been healing together throughout the story. Never losing hope, knowing the importance of love and forgiveness are some lessons I learned from this artwork, and these make the story even more beautiful. Twittering Birds Never Fly is really a master piece among all the other works, and it is so different from any other Yaoi manga works. This series is really, really worth reading, and I would like to recommend it to others. Although there is still a long way to go and the future is uncertain, I really hope that there will be a happy ending for Yashiro and Doumeki.
